Activating Regi: price bands and invoices with your NIF

Paying for Regi no longer takes you out of the app. The price drops in bands, the invoice carries your NIF, and the trial counts from the end of setup.

When the trial ends, you want to pay and get on with your day. Until now that had more friction than it needed. We sent you to a payment page outside Regi, the price per property was the same whether you had two or forty, and the trial bar said things in its last days that were not true.

We have rebuilt the whole path, from the first day of the trial to the first charge. Here is what changes for you.

The price drops as you grow

Every property used to cost the same. Now the price goes by bands:

PropertiesPer property per month
1 to 55.99 €
6 to 154.99 €
16 to 303.99 €
31 to 753.49 €
76 and onwards2.99 €

It works like income-tax brackets. The first five properties pay the first band’s price, the next ten pay the second band’s, and so on. With 8 apartments you pay 5 × 5.99 € plus 3 × 4.99 €: 44.92 € a month. You don’t pay 8 × 4.99 €, but there are no jumps either: adding a property never changes what you pay for the ones before it.

Every price includes VAT. The annual plan bills ten months and covers twelve. With one property that is 59.90 € a year, 17 % less than paying month by month. With those 8 apartments it is 449.20 € a year, and you save 89.84 €.

If you have between 1 and 5 properties, you pay exactly what you paid before.

When the bands reach you. A new subscription starts on the bands. If you already pay for Regi, your subscription moves to the bands at its next renewal, not before. If you have the founder price, you keep it: your subscription stays on its flat price and does not move to the bands.

One more change: if you managed more than 30 properties, we used to send you to talk to us before you could subscribe. Now you subscribe from the app like anyone else. With more than 100 properties we also offer a custom Enterprise plan, but the bands still apply.

You pay without leaving Regi

When you press Activate subscription, you stay in the app. Everything is on one page with three steps: the plan, the invoice and the payment.

The plan. You pick yearly or monthly. Regi counts your properties, so you don’t type the number. Under the price you see what each property works out at per month. If you want to see the maths, open How the price is worked out: it shows the band table with the bands you reach marked. If you are looking at monthly, a link tells you how much you would save on yearly.

The summary. Beside the steps on a computer, or at the end of the page on a phone, a summary shows what matters:

  • what you pay today;
  • the day of the first charge;
  • who the invoice is made out to;
  • a field for a promotion code, if you have one.

What you pay today depends on the trial. If you activate with more than two days of trial left, you pay nothing today. The summary says so, with the date: “You pay nothing until …”. The first charge comes on the day the trial ends, and if you cancel before then, you are not charged. With two days or less left, or once the trial has ended, the charge happens when you activate, and the summary says that too.

Reloading the page loses nothing. Your plan and invoice details are still there. Your card details are not: those are never stored.

If something fails, it tells you. If the payment form never loads, because a browser extension blocks it or the connection drops, the page says so and lets you retry. It does not sit there loading forever. If you open the payment in another tab and come back, it tells you that session has expired and opens it again.

The NIF invoice question, asked every time

Many hosts need the invoice in the name of their company or their self-employed business so they can claim it as an expense. That used to be tucked away in the payment page and easy to miss.

Now the question is required and comes unanswered: Do you need an invoice with a tax ID (NIF)?

  • No, I am a private individual. The invoice goes out without a NIF.
  • Yes, company or self-employed. It asks for your legal name or full name, your NIF, CIF or NIE, and your fiscal address.

The NIF is checked as you leave the field. If the final letter does not match, you see it right then (“Check the last character: 12345678 should end in Z”), not after the invoice has gone out.

Before you pay, the summary repeats who the invoice is for: “Invoice to … · NIF …”, or “Invoice without a NIF”. Your tax details are saved and appear on every invoice from then on, not just the first.

The trial starts when you finish setting up

The 21-day trial used to start as soon as you confirmed your email. If it took you a week to connect SES.Hospedajes and add your properties, that week came out of your trial.

There was a worse case. If the trial ran out before you finished setup, you could no longer finish it. Every step answered with an error.

Now:

  • The trial starts when setup is done. The 21 days are 21 days of using Regi, not of getting it ready.
  • You can always finish setup, whatever the state of the trial.
  • If you pay during setup, the first charge moves to the end of the full trial, counted from when you finish.

One thing does not change: while you are setting up, Regi does not file reports or take check-ins from your guests yet. That starts with the trial.

If you signed up a while ago, stopped halfway and have not filed any report yet, you get the full trial when you finish.

The trial bar tells the truth

The bar at the top of the app was the worst offender. From the last day on it read “No days left”, even with hours to go. And it always promised “(you won’t be charged yet)”, which was false in the last 48 hours.

Now it says:

  • how many trial days you have left, with a countdown in the last 24 hours;
  • whether activating charges you now or at the end. “Activate whenever you like: the first charge comes when the trial ends”, or “If you activate now, the first charge is immediate”;
  • what happens when it ends. “Activate your subscription to file reports again. Nothing has been deleted.”

On a phone it shows only the title and the button, so it does not take up half the screen.

In Settings, a trial account that once opened the payment page no longer sees “Update Plan” and an empty billing portal. If your trial has ended, Settings says so.

What this does not do

  • It changes nothing about what Regi files with SES.Hospedajes. It changes how you pay, not what you get. Reports, deadlines and the 3-year retention are the same on any plan.
  • You cannot pay for fewer properties than you have in Regi. The number comes from the properties you have added.
  • The NIF invoice is for Spanish NIF, CIF and NIE numbers. A tax number from another country does not pass the check. If that is your case, write to us at soporte@regi.es.
  • The trial is one per account. Finishing setup does not restart it, and an account that has already filed reports keeps the trial it had.
  • You don’t cancel from this page. Your plan and invoices are managed from Settings. There is no lock-in: you cancel the renewal whenever you like.

If you have not yet seen what the rest of the app looks like now, it is covered in Regi’s new interface.
